This versatile sauce is great for sandwiches, topping tortillas or adding to chili recipes!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 bunch of cilantro, blanched
- 1/2 bunch of parsley, blanched
- 3 cloves of elephant garlic, peeled
- 1 bell pepper, stem and seeds removed
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 white or yellow onion
Directions:
- Using a food processor, add all of the ingredients except the olive oil, and pulse.
- With a spatula, scrape down the sides of the bowl. Then on low speed, slowly add the olive oil until the mixture becomes a wet paste.
- Place the mixture into a bowl and let sit on the counter covered with plastic wrap for at least 30 minutes before using.
