The Impact of Your Thanksgiving Donations on Local Communities
We want to give a huge thanks to all of our members who made generous donations to local service organizations this Thanksgiving! Your support makes a meaningful difference and helps us extend our reach and impact in the community. Did you know that just by being a Seasonal Roots member, you help thousands of food insecure folks put fresh, nutritious food on the table all year long?
At Seasonal Roots, we are committed to making a positive impact on our community by ensuring that no locally grown produce goes to waste. Every week, we share surplus fruits and veggies with our community partners, who distribute this nutritious food to those in need. As part of our mission to support both our local farmers and the community, we also provide our members with meaningful opportunities to contribute during special times of the year.
During the holiday season, especially around Thanksgiving, we understand that many people want to give back and make a difference. By sourcing local organizations that we are passionate about, we want to simplify the process of giving for our members. We select partners who are deeply rooted in their communities and align with our values, making it easier for you to support causes you care about too.

About Seasonal Roots
Since 2011, Seasonal Roots’ online farmers market has connected Virginia families with local family farmers who use sustainable, humane practices. Our neighborhood market managers – who believe in living better through scrumptious, healthy eating, being kind to animals, protecting the environment, and spreading joy – home-deliver freshly harvested produce, pastured eggs, grass fed dairy and meat, plus artisan fare. We empower our members to eat better and live better with more nutritious, flavorful food that’s good for us and good for the planet. More info at seasonalroots.com.
